Who we are

Miina Design is an Indigenous-owned interior design studio based on Victoria’s Surf Coast. We specialise in interiors that honour Saltwater Country, drawing on the natural beauty and textures of the local landscape. Our work blends thoughtful design with enduring materials to create spaces that foster connection, calm, and a sense of timelessness.

At the heart of Miina Design is our Creative Director, Natalie Pocervina—a proud Kaurna and Narungga woman. While her roots are in South Australia, Natalie along with her husband and three children are lucky to call Wadawurrung Country on the Surf Coast home.

Natalie’s passion for design began in childhood, shaped by lived experience. Growing up amid domestic violence, addiction, and financial hardship, she found refuge in rearranging small spaces—discovering early on how the feel of a room could transform her emotional state. This deep, personal understanding of space as a tool for wellbeing has guided her design journey ever since.

Now formally trained in Interior Design and currently completing a degree in Psychological Sciences, Natalie brings a unique and holistic lens to her work. Her approach combines aesthetic expertise with insights into how sensory environments affect mood and behaviour—ensuring every project not only looks beautiful but also supports emotional wellbeing.

Through Miina Design, Natalie creates interiors that tell story, honour place, and reflect the lives and values of those who inhabit them.
